Expectation:
In preparation
for continued success in this subject, you will do the following as practice. You are
to practise:
(a) writing compositions that meet
the requirements of your notes and mark schemes
(b)
writing these compositions in
the suggested times (so give yourself a time test)
(c) answering paper 1 (grammar and
comprehensions) test questions with fewer errors each time you do them.
Deadline/Due date:
You will be
required to submit this project in the second week of Term 1 of Form 4/5 (Friday, September 14, 2018).
It should
be submitted in a portfolio (a simple plastic folder with the sliding edge will
do) that will show cover page, section dividers and the samples
of your practice work for the summer.
Content:
You will do as
many practice papers as you want, but in your portfolio, you should have the
following:

Additional Guidelines:
1. The multiple choice papers
(grammar and comprehension) can be copied from a textbook or downloaded from
online, but the actual test must be placed in the portfolio (NOT A, B, C/D on binder sheet). Include
the first practice test you attempted and the last one after your many practice
sessions/tests. Choose tests that have answer keys, and have a trusted relative
or family friend (teacher or scholar) mark them so that you can track your
progress.
2. As explained to you in class,
the teacher will mark the THREE compositions. However, you can complete as many
from the given list as you would like in order to get the much-needed practice.
Just have a trusted relative or family friend give feedback based on mark
schemes.

Paper 1 Exercises:
I typed into Google: "free online multiple choice grammar exercises" and got this exercise below:
Do the same to find the topics that you need practice on. For example, just switch "grammar exercises" for reading comprehension, synonyms, spelling, punctuation, et cetera.
Example:
Here's another one:

NB: Be sure to make note of, save, download or document the websites visited to use for future practice.
